Approved by FETAC

In Ireland, FETAC is one of the bodies responsible for awarding qualifications. The Irish International Hotel and Catering School (IIHCS) is an accredited provider of FETAC certificates, and our teaching quality is ensured at a national level.

Practical courses

We value practice alongside theory. Studying at IIHCS means that students will be sent to various hotels and restaurants for placement. This hands-on approach means students will earn actual working experience after a period of theoretical studies.

We offer a wide range of courses beyond hotel and catering. Currently we also offer courses on business, marketing, I.T, eBusiness and others.

Placement

The tourism and catering courses offered by IIHCS emphasize real-life experience by having regular placement in hotels and/or restaurants in the region. Supervised by both the placement host and IIHCS staff, we ensure our students achieve the standards required for national qualifications.

Our placement hosts include many well-known hotels and catering groups in Ireland, including but not limited to:

• Ardilaun House Hotel
• J J Gannon Hotel
• Carlton Hotel
• King's Valley Hotel

Widely recognized qualifications

The FETAC awards are widely recognized in Ireland and beyond. FETAC is under the Department of Education and Science of Ireland and is set within the National Framework of Qualifications in Ireland. In Europe and elsewhere, FETAC awards are qualified in ENIC/NARIC.

An all-English environment

In Ireland, all teaching and placement will be delivered in English, preparing students for work in all English-speaking countries.
