Career Opportunities
On completion, you will have the competence to work in a multi-functional capacity with a wide variety of operational roles within the international tourism and hospitality industry. You may also choose to specialise in a particular area and may progress to supervisory/management levels through accessing and participating in higher level courses.
Subject to minimum entry requirements prescribed by the Academic Councils of the Institutes of Technology, graduates are eligible to apply for direct entry to the second year of a range of higher level courses:
- Trainee Management Development Programme
- Bachelor of Business in Hotel and Catering Management
- Bachelor of Business Studies in Bar Management
Students are required to undertake a 12-week (minimum) work placement at the end of Year 1 and Year 2. Successful completion of these placements is an integral part of the certification process.
This is a two-year full-time course.
