Galway City
Galway City, the capital of Connaught, is the third largest city in the Republic of Ireland after Dublin and Cork. The city has experienced very rapid growth in recent years.
Most industry and factories in Galway, like the rest of Ireland, are hi-tech basis (e.g. ICT, medical equipment, electronics, chemicals, etc.) due to the Celtic Tiger economic boom. Tourism is also of major importance to the city, which had over 2.1 million visitors in 2008, and generated revenue of over €400 million.
Galway is nicknamed Ireland's Cultural Heart (Croí Cultúrtha na hÉireann) and is renowned for its vibrant lifestyle and numerous festivals, celebrations and events.

Galway is one of the most vibrant cities in the west of Europe. Though it may be small in size it is as cosmopolitan as any- with two universities and numerous private colleges .Galway combines the essence of Irish culture with the energy supplied by our large student population.
Galway is also the home to many of Irelands’ biggest festivals and as such is a major tourist destination.
In the heart of Galway lie the two buildings that are the campus of IIHCS and IIBS.

|
Our main administrative and academic building is on Eyre Square overlooking the park from five floors with our training kitchen and restaurant just around the corner. Both buildings are period buildings reflecting the history of Galway.
|
Our students are accommodated in a purpose built student village called Gleann Na Ri.
