Entry Requirements for Irish and EU students

The Irish International Hotel and Catering School (IIHCS) is registered with Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI). The minimum entry requirements for Irish and EU students are:

Level 5 programmes

All applications are dealt with on an individual basis and each will be assessed on the students own merit.
Learners must be over 16 years old prior to the start of the course.

Level 6 programmes

  1. Completion of relevant level 5 programme or its equivalent
  2. Must be over 17 years old prior to the start of the course
  3. Students who have completed a recognised vocational school foundation programme may be considered.

The Irish International Hotel and Catering School is registered with Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) to offer programmes leading to QQI awards under the National Framework of Qualifications.


Entry Requirements for non – EU students

The Irish International Hotel and Catering School (IIHCS) is registered with Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI). The minimum entry requirements for non- EU students are:

Preparatory English Language programmes

  1. Completion of Form 5 education or equivalent
  2. IELTS scores not less than 4.0 or equivalent
  3. Must be over 16 years old prior to the start of the course

Level 6 programmes

  1. Completion of Form 6 education or equivalent
  2. IELTS scores not less than 5.5 or equivalent
  3. Must be over 17 years old prior to the start of the course
  4. Students who have completed a recognised vocational school foundation programme may be considered.
