Protection for Learners
The Irish International Hotel and Catering School (IIHCS) is an accredited provider of QQI approved courses, and our teaching quality is ensured at a national level. As part of our accreditation process we have protection for learners in place which means that all learners will be able to finish their studies at other institutions or receive a QQI approved fee refund if the course is not completed by IIHCS.
We value practice alongside theory. Studying at IIHCS means that students will be sent to various hotels and restaurants for placement. This hands-on approach means students will earn actual working experience after a period of theoretical studies.
The tourism and catering courses offered by IIHCS emphasize real-life experience by having placement in hotels and/or restaurants in the region. Supervised by both the placement host and IIHCS staff, we ensure our students achieve the standards required for national qualifications.
Our placement hosts include many well-known hotels and catering groups in Ireland, including but not limited to:
Galway Bay Hotel
Widely recognized qualifications
The QQI awards are widely recognized in Ireland and beyond. QQI is under the Department of Education and Skills of Ireland and is set within the National Framework of Qualifications in Ireland. In Europe and elsewhere, QQI awards are qualified in ENIC/NARIC.
